Ema Hisses

PackSmack and Ben,

For those of you who scream for 'facts', it is fact:

1. Jesus Christ (you do remember him, don't you?) was a socialist.

2. The teachings of JC are socialism in its purest form.

3. True followers of JC act in socialist ways.

So to be a 'Christian,' one must be a socialist.

Are you a true follower of JC?

  1. Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. JN 18:36 His mission is spiritual, not temporal. He neither claimed nor exercised temporal power. He did not prescribe an economic system.
  2. Submit your proof, and with it, proof of your knowledge of the meaning of "socialism".
  3. True followers of Jesus Christ seek to emulate him. Jesus was not a thief. Socialism involves theft by agency. The disciples considered tax collectors to be sinners.
Ema's conclusion has no basis in fact whatsoever; it is evidence of a lack of comprehension of religion, economics and political science.

Ben,

Seems to be in absolute deep denial, disparately clinging to 'fact.' Fact (Matthew 5:1-12) the great rabbi taught peace and love your neighbor.

(To borrow a line from a great philosopher Marx (Groucho), if it quacks like like a duck and it waddles like a duck, then it is a duck.)

Jesus stands for everything you are not and that you detest. Jesus was a Jew, brave, _HONEST_,an anti-establishment pacifist, a socialist, a liberal, and open minded person.

Jesus might not agree with me on some things, but it absolutely clear nothing you call for is within the realm of JC's teaching. Hellfire, it is doubtful you would not welcome JC in to your house of worship or anything else you do.

"...True followers of Jesus Christ seek to emulate him..."

Your hate filled calls for mass killings of unarmed people are your way of emulating JC how?

__________

JC through his life, efforts and messages was brave and honest with a capacity to understand the human condition. You can learn much by following JC's examples; to begin with, try being brave and having faith.

(Too much fun watching Ben's head implode.)

Yes Jesus did teach 'love thy neighbor'; whereas Mo-lester-hammed taught, Kill your neighbor.

Ema, you 'uttered' perhaps your most foolish words yet when you said, this: "Jesus might not agree with me on some things.."

Um, too bad for Jesus, huh? Which totally summarizes the entire scope of our daily interactions here on this blog...Ema, it is not if Jesus agrees with you, it is about whether you agree with Jesus. Or did YOU DIE and then come BACK from death? I mean who should a person listen to, one who healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, calmed the waves by His word, changed water to wine, raised the dead and then Himself came back from the grave, or YOU?

Talk about the biggest no-brainer ever...

So there you have it; you think YOU have a standard to which Jesus should adhere to or agree with.

Sorry, Ema, you are not God. (Neither was the very DEAD Mo-lester-hammed.)

PacSmack,

"Yes Jesus did teach 'love thy neighbor';..."
which you clearly do not understand or follow.

You do not follow JC's call to 'turn the other cheek.'

You do not listen to JC's teachings of the Beatitudes. His teachings of the two Greatest Laws (Matthew 22:36-40) and Christ's Commandment (John 12:47,48) are totally ignored by you. So just to which messages/teachings of Jesus do you adhere?

"...I mean who should a person listen to, one who healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, calmed the waves by His word, changed water to wine, raised the dead and then Himself came back from the grave,..."

Given so much of JC's teachings that _you_ do not listen to, hear, understand nor follow, why do you waste your time calling yourselves Christians? It is absolutely clear nothing you call for in your writings here is within the realm of JC's teaching. Objurgation, it is doubtful you would welcome JC in to your house of worship or anything else you do.

Did Jesus Christ demand the six year old daughter of his Apostle?

Did Jesus Christ have his critics murdered?

Did Jesus Christ make his living by robbing camel caravans?

Did Jesus Christ rape the widow of a man he had tortured to death?

Yer beloved best & greatest of men did all those things, and he was not emulating Jesus!

Jesus taught morality; standards of individual conduct, not political or economic systems.

You coiled up too tight Ema, and got yer head stuck where it don't belong, be careful so you don't roll out of control down hill.

Ben,

"Did Jesus Christ demand the six year old daughter of his Apostle?"

No.

"Did Jesus Christ have his critics murdered?"

No.

"Did Jesus Christ make his living by robbing camel caravans?"

No.

"Did Jesus Christ rape the widow of a man he had tortured to death?..."

No.

Are these the reason you do not follow any of the teachings of Jesus?

"...Jesus taught morality;..."

Yes. All of which you do not understand nor follow.

Given so much of JC's teachings that _you_ do not listen to, hear, understand nor follow, why do you waste your time calling yourself a Christian? Why bother tying yourself up in knots saying you follow a Jewish, pacifist, socialist liberal.

It is absolutely clear nothing you call for in your writings here is within the realm of JC's teaching. Objurgation, it is doubtful you would welcome JC in to your house of worship or anything else you do.

PackSmack,

"Ema, you 'uttered' perhaps your most foolish words yet when you said, this: "Jesus might not agree with me on some things..""

Have you forgotten, bumblenuts? Jesus was a man, fully capable of all human frailty. He never claimed to be perfect. (And neither do I.)

The message is important, not the messenger. Christ's messages are divine. We will live forever because of his teachings.

____

As for the title "Ema Hisses" - I paraphrase Harry Truman, "I never did give youse guys hell. I just told the truth and you thought it was hell. "

Christ is a Rabbi, not a ruler. He taught religion & morality, not politics & economics.

Don't strain yer brain trying to understand this, Ema, just accept it because it is true.

Ben,

Guess you flunked these lessons.

No.

Are you saying that had he done these things, you would follow the teachings of Jesus?

Ema,

Oh, you've really stepped into it now...you said, "Have you forgotten, bumblenuts? Jesus was a man, fully capable of all human frailty. He never claimed to be perfect. (And neither do I.)"

Sure Jesus was CAPABLE of frailty because He was a man, but please name for me that which He did that was not perfect? Would eh, too, Brute, attach him to a cross? You are claiming that Jesus was not perfect, so let's hear what sin you convict Him of?

Listen up for a change, Jesus WAS and IS perfect. He is not only fully human, but He is fully GOD. I could tell you things about what we have witnessed that would pop your head off your neck. Jesus is very real and very present and is nothing like your hero, Mohammed.

The 'socialist'-type behaviors that you claim He taught, He was teaching TO THE CHURCH (the invisible body of His believers, not some institution) as guidelines as to how to love and help each other, He was not speaking to those who denied His deity or His redemptive work...to them all He had were words of judgement and condemnation. There is never comfort or security in sin, disbelief or denial of accountability to God.

You can tell if something is a false belief system if it does one of these things:

1. Devalues Jesus (He is God)
2. De-ifies man
3. Denigrates Scripture
4. Denies sin

Islam fails most of these criteria.

You would do well to repent from your sinfulness (you are right, you are not perfect and neither am I, but Jesus is) and put your faith the the LIVING GOD, Who is Jesus.

PackSmack,

Try being honest. You do not honestly believe,
"Jesus WAS and IS perfect. He is not only fully human, but He is fully GOD. "

Because if you did believe, would you really ignore JC's commandants, teachings, and messages?

There you go again spinning and trying to twist the truth of the word.

"The 'socialist'-type behaviors that you claim He taught, He was teaching TO THE CHURCH (the invisible body of His believers, not some institution) as guidelines as to how to love and help each other, He was not speaking to those who denied His deity or His redemptive work..."

JC's whole ministry was one of love, honor, and peace to _ALL_ peoples. His messages were open, inclusive, and welcoming to all.

JC through his life, efforts and messages was brave and honest with a capacity to understand the human condition. You can learn much by following JC's examples; to begin with, try being honest, being brave and having faith.
