Reliance of the Traveller: Handbook of Shari'ah
This post is spurred by recent interest in tags related to Reliance of the Traveller.  It is being edited April 11, '12 because two links have been broken and a recent searcher sought a legible copy.  If you need legibility and the complete text, your best option is to purchase a hard copy from Amazon.  If you are interested in a particular page or pages, you can copy the text and paste it into your favorite editor for easier reading. 

    Adobe's reader allows you to enlrarge the text for easier reading.  If you need to search for a particular topic, try the Shift + Ctrl + f  key combination which will return a linked list of potential hits. 

    Islamic law is derived from Muhammad's recitation and example: Qur'an & Sunnah.  "Umdat as-Salik wa 'Uddat an-Nasik (Reliance of the Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper, also commonly known by its shorter title Reliance of the Traveller) is a classical manual of fiqh for the Shafi'i school of Islamic jurisprudence."  Here is the Wikipedia entry.

The book is about 1251 pages long. While you can search it at Muhaddith,  there are some limitations to the search. The text has been posted an an educational site, from which I took these quotations. This is a raw text file, and some of it is extremely RAW!  I suggest using the Ctrl F search function to find what you are seeking if you go here and delve into it: http://www.nku.edu/~kenneyr/Islam/Reliance.html .  That text version is not complete, it ends with Book V.

Islamic Bulletin has an extensive library which includes two versions of Reliance.

Maktabah has a Scribid version which is only 384 pages, far short of complete. If you want a hard copy, it is available from Amazon.

    Shari'ah means "path to the life giving waters",  it is a guide to obedience of Allah and emulation of Moe.  While much of it is arcane, such as the rules of  ritual purity and prayer,  it also  governs matters with more direct application to temporal affairs.  

    The laws concerning marriage, divorce, crime & punishments, and jihad are imposed upon non-Muslims where Allah's writ runs.  Islamic law forbids charging or receiving interest.  Shari'ah compliant commerce involves the proscription of all interest and all traffic with Israel.  It also involves the payment of 2.5%  Zakat on financial transactions  as well as on increase in wealth.  What most westerners don't know is that 1/8  of Zakat collections must be paid to the terrorists to finance their war against us.  It is illegal to give Zakat to Kuffar.

H8.7: The Eight Categories of Recipients

It is obligatory to distribute one's zakat among eight categories of recipients (O: meaning that zakat goes to none besides them), one-eighth of the zakat to each category. (n: In the Hanafi school, it is valid for the giver to distribute his zakat to all of the categories, some of them, or to confine himself to just one of them (al-Lubab fi sharh al-Kitab(y88), 1.155). )

H8.17: Those Fighting for Allah

The seventh category is those fighting for Allah, meaning people engaged in Islamic military operations for whom no salary has been allotted in the army roster (O: but who are volunteers for jihad without remuneration).  They are given enough to suffice them for the operation, even if affluent; of weapons, mounts, clothing, and expenses (O: for the duration of the journey, round trip, and the time they spend there, even if prolonged. Though nothing has been mentioned here of the expense involved in supporting such people's families during this period, it seems clear that they should also be given it).

 

H8.24

It is not permissible to give zakat to a non-Muslim, or to someone whom one is obliged to support (def: m12.1), such as a wife or family member.

    There are several schools of fiqh, while there is much common ground between them, there are sectarian differences, which one of the texts explains in some detail.

    Risala is more detailed in some areas and less detailed in others. If you have been wondering how a Muslim wipes his butt after his right hand is amputated for theft, Risala has the answer for you.  Turn to 4.1(e) on page 43 if you are inordinantly curious and neither a prude nor easily offended.

    Hedaya, the Hanifi school's handbook of fiqh, is dense, arcane & printed in an archaic type face but it clarifies some vital issues including the offensive nature of jihad an extortionate nature of juzya. Hedaya also includes explanation of the differences with the Shafi'i school's Reliance.  Hedaya's four volumes have been compressed into two which are available from Amazon, Google Books and the internet archive in a viewr and pdf format.  Vol. II contains the important fiqh of jihad in Book IX. 

    Whenver a politician, preacher, journalist, blogger or commentator asserts:

  • "Islam is a great religion of peace."
  • "Islam only fights in self defense."
  • 'The jihad imperatives only apply to times of war." 

and similar malignant malarkey, you should turn to Reliance,  hedaya & Risala to reconnect with the truth.

    Book O, Chapter 9 of Reliance defines jihad as "war against non-Muslims", the obligation to perform it as "communal" and the caliph's  enforcement of that obligation as "the caliph makes war against Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians until..."  & "the caliph fights all other peoples until..." .  The religious obligation to attack non-Muslims while they are at home in their own countries, minding their own affairs is binding upon Muslims "in every year".

    Book IX, Chapter I of Hedaya, Volume II informs us that "destruction of the sword is incurred by infidels though they be not the first aggressors".
Cg, II delves into Jizya, informing us that it is in lieu of destruction; a form of punishment for infidelity. 

    Chapter 30 of Risala confirms the definition of jihad and the duty of dawa which proceeds the conquest.  "And it is preferable, according to us, that the enemy are not fought until they have been invited to the din of Allah except if they attack first."    "30.2c. They can either accept Islam or pay the jizya (tax on non-Muslims); if not they are to be fought."

    Muslims, treasonous politicians, clergy who have sold their souls to Satan and corrupt & intimidated journalists  spew egregious lies about Islam secure in the knowledge that most listeners lack the means and the will to discover the truth for themselves.  You now have the means to discover the truth for yourself.  Will you make good use of that opportunity or will you stick your head back into the sand? 

    Muslims and their dhimis will swear that they have no intention of enforcing the Shari'ah relating to jihad, instead, they want only to enforce 'domestic/family" law.  Isn't that sweet?

    Shari'ah allows a Muslim to force his pre-pubescent virgin daughter to marry the man of his choice. And, if she defies his command, he can kill her without fear of retaliation.  Of course, honoricide is strictly cultural, not Islamic, yeah, right. 

And when he decides to divorce her mother, he just repeats "I divorce you" three times;  if the mother is not Muslim, she can not obtain child custody. If she obtains custody and remarries, she loses it. 

    Then there is the matter of Islamic charity, totally innocuous, right? Wrong!! Do you remember when President Obama made his tear jerker pitch about allowing Muslims to contribute to charity without obstructions?  There is a little detail he concealed from you: zakat is divided into eight equal shares, one of which goes to fund terrorism. Zakat is imposed at the rate of 2.5% on savings and transactions. From each $1million, $3125. finances terrorism. 

    Am I a rabid racist, fascist, hatemonging Islamophobe or are the experts & authorities liars & deceivers?  If your head is up your butt or in the sand, you will believe the liars; I can do nothing to help you.  If you are open minded and your eyes are not blinded by impacted feces, you will follow the links I have provided and discover the truth for yourself; then you will share it with others.

In these videos, Pamela Geller & Robert Spencer tell it as it is.  Because others shared these videos with me, I am sharing them with you. I ask that you share them with others. 

    Robert Spencer cites the Qur'an, hadith & Reliance of the Traveller in his remarks.  I want you to understand that he is not blowing smoke, so I have included quotes and links in this blog post.  The links include one to Amazon, where you can purchase a hard copy of Reliance of the Traveller and on line images of Reliance & Hedaya because I want you to verify for yourself the veracity of Spencer's statements. 


 

Why does the threat of Jihad go unrecognized?  Primarily because Islam is successfully disguised as a religion. We presume that religions are anodyne & benign; Islam is predatory & violent.  Secondarily because our leaders lack the SISU to acknowledge the threat because if they did, popular demand for the eradication of Islam would be considered genocidal; a new Holocaust.

    Sahih Bukhari, considered to be the most authentic of the six canonical hadith collections, is made available by the Muslim Student Association at USC.  Turn to Volume 6, Book 60, Number 444 for the story of the commencement of Moe's prophetic career. 

    Divine mandate

 The divine mandate to enforce the wrath of Allah in this life by punishing infidels is found in the Qur'an.  in Surah At-Taubah 2, Allah tells the pagans of Mecca that they can not escape. The translators insert an explanation in parenthesis.

9:2. So travel freely (O Mushrikûn - see V.2:105) for four months (as you will) throughout the land, but know that you cannot escape (from the Punishment of) Allâh, and Allâh will disgrace the disbelievers.

Allah then commands the Muslims to wage war against the pagans of Mecca to punish and disgrace them. 

9:14. Fight against them so that Allâh will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people,


    Spencer cites Surah At-Taubah 29 which commands Muslims to wage war against "people of the Book".

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.


    Full comprehension of that verse requires reference to its antecedent in Surah Al-Anfal, (The Spoils) which commands perpetual warfare against pagans & atheists until only Allah is worshiped on a global scale.   These are outcome oriented, open ended loops conditioned on predetermined outcomes: cessation of resistance, monopoly of faith & practice and extortion & submission. 

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.

    These conquest imperatives are codified in Book O, Chapter 9.8&9 of Reliance of the Traveller, which you can purchase from Amazon.  "The caliph makes war on Jews...", "the caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim".  These are offensive, not defensive wars. For the proof of this fact, click the link to Book O9.8 above and scroll up to O9.1. The Muslims must attack passive kuffar who are at home, minding their own affairs at least once in every year.  For the remaining doubters, Hedaya, the codification according to the Hanifi school, declares that "Destruction of the sword is incurred by infidels though they be not the first aggressors".

    Full comprehension of this issue requires reading one hadith which was bowdlerized by Khan , the context of Surah Al-Imran 110 and the hadith which explains it. 

Bukhari  Ch 61 # 2756: ...It is mentioned from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "My provision has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and abasement and humility have been placed on the one who disobeys my command.

3:110. You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad  and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn (disobedient to Allâh - and rebellious against Allâh's Command).

3:111. They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; and if they fight against you, they will show you their backs, and they will not be helped.

3:112. Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh's disobedience, crimes and sins).

Sahih Bukhari  Volume 6, Book 60, Number 80:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Verse:--"You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind." means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.

   In Hedaya, we learn that jizya is in liew of 'destruction'.  We also learn that it is to be collected in a humiliating and degrading manner, although Shafi'i disagrees.

    Many of the restrictions on conquered Jews & Christians are found in the Pact of Umar.  The prohibition on building churches and public manifestation of religion, are codified in Reliance O11.5.

    Islam must be dominant. To comprehend this fact, turn to Surah At-Taubah 33 & Sahih Bukhari 4.52.65. The political aspect of Shari'ah is found in Reliance O.25 (the Caliphate). In O22.1, we discover that judges must be Muslims. In O25.3 we learn that authority is for Muslims only.  That rule is not limited to the caliphate, it drills down into the family.  Muslimas are prohibited from marrying kuffar because religion is passed down patrilineally.  If a Muslim woman marries a Christian, her children will be Christians, not Muslims.  When a Muslim marries a kuffar and divorces her, she can not obtain custody of her children because kuffar have no right to authority, as stated in . M13.2{c}.

    The concept comes from Surah Al-Hashr 2. Full comprehension requires reference to Surah Alanfal 57-

59:2. He it is Who drove out the disbelievers among the people of the Scripture (i.e. the Jews of the tribe of Banî An-Nadîr) from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think that they would get out. And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allâh! But Allâh's (Torment) reached them from a place whereof they expected it not, and He cast terror into their hearts, so that they destroyed their own dwellings with their own hands and the hands of the believers. Then take admonition, O you with eyes (to see).

8:57. So if you gain the mastery over them in war, punish them severely in order to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may learn a lesson.

Other translators include the concept of striking terror in 8:57. Muslims are commanded to treat their victims harshly so as to terrorize prospective victims.

    Moe confirmed the jihad imperative, as recorded in sever hadith. This one stands out for its clarity: we are the targets, its open season on us and we have no rights until we become Muslims. 

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah." Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have."

       Reliance of the Traveller O8.7 lists twenty acts which entail apostasy, subjecting the apostate to execution.  Reviling Allah, Moe or Islam gets a Muslim decapitated as does any expression of doubt or denial of Allah's existence and wonderful character.  This law is imposed upon dhimmis in O11.10-5: Saying anything impermissible about Islam. its deity or profit gets a dhimmi killed.

Slander (ghiba) means to mention anything concerning a person that he would dislike, whether about his body, religion, everyday life, self, disposition, property, son, father, wife, servant, turban, garment, gait, movements, smiling, dissoluteness, frowning, cheerfulness, or anything else connected with him.

Mention means by word, writing, sign, or indicating him with one's eye, hand, head, and so forth.Body refers to saying such things as that someone is blind, lame, bleary-eyed, bald, short, tall, dark, or pale.

Religion includes saying that he is corrupt, a thief, cannot be trusted, is a tyrant, does not care about the prayer, does not watch to avoid filth, does not honor his father, does not spend zakat on what it should be spent on, or does not avoid slandering others.

    Retaliation is prescribed for homicide & manslaughter, but not for a Muslim who kills his progeny. 

01.2 The following are not subject to retaliation[ ...]
o1.2 (4) a father or mother (or their fathers or
mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring's
offspring;

Here is the scriptural & traditional basis for that ruling. 

18:74. Then they both proceeded, till they met a boy, he (Khidr) killed him. Mûsa (Moses) said: "Have you killed an innocent person who had killed none? Verily, you have committed a thing "Nukra" (a great Munkar - prohibited, evil, dreadful thing)!"

18:80. "And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared lest he should oppress them by rebellion and disbelief.

Elimination of Racism and 'Related Intolerance'

 While fools and liars continue singing the praises of the Human Rights Council & OIC for abandoning the 'Defamation of Religions [Islam]' meme, the UN published one of the resolutions that went through the General Assembly like grease through a goose December 19  '12: A/RES/66/144

    Take note of the innocuous title; who can oppose the worthy cause of eliminating racism?

Global efforts for the total elimination of racism, racial
discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance and
the comprehensive implementation of and follow-up to
the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action

    The devil is in the details.  I highlighted a key phrase and clauses in the title; the evils they conceal while including by reference  make the resolution unacceptable.   The bureaucrats redefined racism: it no longer simply denotes irrational and invidious hatred of dark shinned people; it now connotes rational and well founded opposition to Islam. 

    Racism is explicitly redefined to include 'Islamophobia' in a preliminary report created in the preparatory stages of the second Durban Conference. 

4.  Emphasizes the urgent need to address the scourges of anti-Semitism, Christianophobia, and Islamophobia as contemporaryforms of racism as well as racial and violent movements based on racism and discriminatory ideas directed at African, Arab, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and other communities;[Preliminary document of the African Regional Conference Preparatory to the Durban Review Conference]

    Re-read that quotation with special attention to the highlighted words and phrases.  There is nothing racial about opposition to Islam. There are Black, White and Asian Muslims; Islam is not a race.  Islam is an ideology, system of laws  and military force to spread and establish it. 

    'Related intolerance', included in the boiler plate of numerous resolutions, translates to 'Islamophobia'. The global effort is to eliminate 'Islamophobia'. Its intent is to criminalize and punish rejection of and opposition to Islam. 

    The phrase "comprehensive implementation of" in the third line of the title applies to the Durban Declaration. Who is familiar with its contents?  Here  is a clear demand for the enactment & enforcement of legislation to criminalize  the formation of anti-Islamic political parties.

150. Calls upon States, in opposing all forms of racism, to recognize the need to
counter anti-Semitism, anti-Arabism and Islamophobia world-wide, and urges all States to take
effective measures to prevent the emergence of movements based on racism and discriminatory
ideas concerning these communities;

    The Durban Declaration also demands that we not scrutinize those most likely to engage in terrorism. The perpetrators of the Accursed Abomination were young Muslim males, not little old ladies. 
72. Urges States to design, implement and enforce effective measures to eliminate the
phenomenon popularly known as “racial profiling” and comprising the practice of police and
other law enforcement officers relying, to any degree, on race, colour, descent or national or
ethnic origin as the basis for subjecting persons to investigatory activities or for determining
whether an individual is engaged in criminal activity;
   
    The Durban Declaration also demands censorship, including of the internet. 
89. We note with regret that certain media, by promoting false images and negative
stereotypes of vulnerable individuals or groups of individuals, particularly of migrants and
refugees, have contributed to the spread of xenophobic and racist sentiments among the public
and in some cases have encouraged violence by racist individuals and groups;
90. We recognize the positive contribution that the exercise of the right to freedom of
expression, particularly by the media and new technologies, including the Internet, and full
respect for the freedom to seek, receive and impart information can make to the fight against
racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance; we reiterate the need to respect
the editorial independence and autonomy of the media in this regard;
91. We express deep concern about the use of new information technologies, such as
the Internet, for purposes contrary to respect for human values, equality, non-discrimination,
respect for others and tolerance, including to propagate racism, racial hatred, xenophobia, racial
discrimination and related intolerance, and that, in particular, children and youth having access
to this material could be negatively influenced by it;

145. Urges States to implement legal sanctions, in accordance with relevant
international human rights law, in respect of incitement to racial hatred through new information
and communications technologies, including the Internet, and further urges them to apply all
relevant human rights instruments to which they are parties, in particular the International
Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, to racism on the Internet;
146. Urges States to encourage the media to avoid stereotyping based on racism, racial
discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance;
147. Calls upon States to consider the following, taking fully into account existing
international and regional standards on freedom of expression, while taking all necessary
measures to guarantee the right to freedom of opinion and expression:
(a) Encouraging Internet service providers to establish and disseminate specific
voluntary codes of conduct and self-regulatory measures against the dissemination of racist
messages and those that result in racial discrimination, xenophobia or any form of intolerance
and discrimination; to that end, Internet providers are encouraged to set up mediating bodies at
national and international levels, involving relevant civil society institutions;
(b) Adopting and applying, to the extent possible, appropriate legislation for
prosecuting those responsible for incitement to racial hatred or violence through the new
information and communications technologies, including the Internet;


    What is the meaning of incitement to racial hatred or violence?  How are those terms evaluated in the real world?  According to Ban Ki-moon, they include exposing the nexus between Islamic doctrines expressed in Islamic scripture & tradition and Islamic violence in terrorism & rioting. 
Reuters quotes U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon about Fitna:"There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence," Ban said in a statement. "The right of free expression is not at stake here."

The Secretary General explicitly said that Geert Wilders had no right to utter & publish Fitna, which displayed Islamic doctrines of jihad beside video of rabble rousing sermons and pictures of the resulting havoc.  The texts cited by Wilders are documented in this blog post: http://snooper.wordpress.com/2008/03/27/fitna-supporting-documentation/ 

    A/RES/66/144 's threat to free expression is not limited to its inclusion by reference of the Durban Declaration. 

6. Expresses deep concern at inadequate responses to emerging and
resurgent forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance,
and urges States to adopt measures to address those scourges vigorously with a view
to preventing their practice and protecting victims;
7. Underlines the imperative need to address all the contemporary forms
and manifestations of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related
intolerance, which include, inter alia, incitement to such hatred, racial profiling and
the propagation of racist and xenophobic acts through cyberspace, with a view to
maximizing protection for victims, providing legal remedies and combating
impunity;
8. Stresses that States and international organizations have a responsibility
to ensure that measures taken in the struggle against terrorism do not discriminate in
purpose or effect on grounds of race, colour, descent or national or ethnic origin,
and urges all States to rescind or refrain from all forms of racial profiling;
9. Recognizes that States should implement and enforce appropriate and
effective legislative, judicial, regulatory and administrative measures to prevent and
protect against acts of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related
intolerance, thereby contributing to the prevention of human rights violations;

    ¶ 11 on page 4 is very clear.
11. Reaffirms that any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that
constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by
law, and also reaffirms that the dissemination of ideas based on racial superiority or
hatred, or incitement to racial discrimination, as well as all acts of violence or
incitement to such acts, shall be declared offences punishable by law, in accordance
with the international obligations of States, and that those prohibitions are
consistent with freedom of opinion and expression;

    The Secy'. Gen'l. labeled Fitna hate speech & incitement not protected by the right of freedom of expression.  Take a clear eyed look at the last sentence in ¶ 11 above.  It says that prohibitions on advocacy of religious hatred are consistent with freedom of expression.  Fitna is an exposure of religious hatred, it is not advocacy of hatred!  The enemies of liberty invert facts, law and morality. There is no truth or virtue in them. 

14. Calls upon all States, in accordance with the commitments undertaken in
paragraph 147 of the Durban Programme of Action, to take all measures necessary
to combat incitement to violence motivated by racial hatred, including through the
misuse of print, audiovisual and electronic media and new communications
technologies, and, in collaboration with service providers, to promote the use of
such technologies, including the Internet, to contribute to the fight against racism, in
conformity with international standards of freedom of expression and taking all
measures necessary to guarantee that right;

   
  
   ¶ 15 demands that we convert our schools into Islamic indoctrination centers; inculcating tolerance of intolerable evil. . 
15. Encourages all States to include in their educational curricula and social
programmes at all levels, as appropriate, knowledge of and tolerance and respect for
all cultures, civilizations, religions, peoples and countries, as well as information on
the follow-up to and implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of
Action;

    The resolution also alludes to an ad hoc committee of the HRC, without revealing its mandate. 

Taking note of Human Rights Council decision 3/103 of 8 December 2006,2 by
which, heeding the decision and instruction of the World Conference, the Council
established the Ad Hoc Committee of the Human Rights Council on the Elaboration
of Complementary Standards,

Noting also the progress made during the third session of the Ad Hoc
Committee on the Elaboration of Complementary Standards, held in Geneva on 22
and 23 November 2010 and from 11 to 21 April 2011, and noting further the
convening of the fourth session, to be held in Geneva during 2012,

64. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the resources necessary for the
effective fulfilment of the mandates of [...] the Ad Hoc Committee on the Elaboration of Complementary Standards


The committee's mandate is to code a binding protocol to ICERD which will incorporate therein criminalization of everything the OIC is kvetching about: Fitna, the Motoons, International Burn the Koran Day, International Judge the Koran Day and every negative statement about Allah, Moe and their damnable war cult.   Their next meeting begins April 10.  Unlike these resolutions, the protocol will be binding and enforcible.  If you would like to know more about it, make good use of these resources:

New York City – Human Rights First today praises member states of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for adopting resolution text on fighting religious intolerance text that omits reference to the controversial notion of “defamation of religions.”

    So, "defamation of religions" does not appear in the text; exactly what difference does that make?  The resolution contains effective substitutes with the same essential meaning. 

    The tactic is semantic deflection: instead of condemning and urging criminalization of "defamation of Islam", the boiler plate from HRC RES 16/18 switches the focus to "denigration and negative religious stereotyping of persons" & "incitement to religious hatred".

    Terrorism is an intrinsic sacrament of Islam. Since Islam is inseverable, and the practice of terrorism is commanded by Allah in Surah Al-Anfal 57 & 60, every Muslim is a potential terrorist.  The Muslim who takes "any step" to "injure or enrage" disbelievers is rewarded with extra credit towards an upgrade in Allah's Celestial Bordello.  The Muslim who shirks Jihad is threatened with eternal damnation.

    The irrefutable fact presented in the previous paragraph is not defamatory because it is true and easily verifiable. But the statement: "Terrorism is an intrinsic sacrament of Islam", stereotypes all Muslims as potential terrorists, which, in fact they are.  Muslims are commanded to obey Allah and Muhammad.   Muslims are commanded to emulate Muhammad, who was "made victorious with terror". 

    Is truth a defense against accusation of "negative stereotyping"?   The Motoons, Fitna and this blog post could as easily be proscribed on the basis of "negative stereotyping" as "defamation of Islam".

    Here are some prime examples of intolerance; I challenge Human Rights First, other NGOs, the Department of State, the Human Rights Council & the OIC to demonstrate exactly how the resolution will end the Islamic intolerance exemplified in the Qur'an.

    1:7. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).

  • 3:85. And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.

  • 3:110. You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad  and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fâsiqûn (disobedient to Allâh - and rebellious against Allâh's Command).

    3:111. They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; and if they fight against you, they will show you their backs, and they will not be helped.

    3:112. Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destruction is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh's disobedience, crimes and sins). 

  • Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 80:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

    The Verse:--"You (true Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind." means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam.

  • 98:6. Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islâm, the Qur'ân and Prophet Muhammad ()) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikûn will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.

    Where Allah's writ runs, such as Egypt, Indonesia & Nigeria, Muslims destroy Christian's property and murder them with impunity.  What makes any fool believe that the new resolutions will be enforced against those guilty of rioting & murder?  They will only be enforced against those of us who expose the intrinsic evil of Islam.

    What, exactly is the meaning of "incitement to imminent violence"? Exactly what can be proscribed without regard for freedom of expression?  The answer to these questions is contained in the official response to the publication of Geert Wilders' short documentary. 

Reuters quotes U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon about Fitna:"There is no justification for hate speech or incitement to violence," Ban said in a statement. "The right of free expression is not at stake here."


    Exposing the causal relationship between the doctrines enshrined in Islam's canon of scripture & tradition  to Islamic terrorism, jihad & rioting is hate speech & incitement not covered by the right of free expression according to the Secretary General.

    The organization who demanded persecution of the publishers of the Danish Cartoons & Fitna and which seeks to suppress the publication of Geert Wilders' new book reaffirms the positive role of free expression, yeah, right. 

Deeply concerned about incidents of intolerance, discrimination and violence

 against persons based on their religion or belief in all regions of the world,

    The OIC is "deeply concerned" about the slaughter, with impunity, of indigenous Christians in Egypt & Nigeria and the bombing & burning of their homes, businesses & churches.  "Condemns in the strongest possible terms..." Yeah, right, as if they would say "Allah's curse  be upon those Muslims who murder Christians and destroy their property; may he bring down the governments who allow impunity to the perpetrators. "  They don't and they won't and we all know why they don't.

Deploring any advocacy of discrimination or violence

 on the basis of religion or belief,

8:65. O Prophet (Muhammad )! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

saying (Allah bless him and give him peace),
"I am the last, there will be no prophet
after me,"
this does not contradict the final coming of Jesus
(upon whom be peace), since he will not rule
according to the Evangel, but as a follower of our
Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace)).


    There is and can be no G'd'd lie more egregious than claiming to deplore advocacy of violence based on religion  or belief when your own G'd'd scripture, codified into Shari'ah, urges and commands you to wage perpetual war against Christians, Jews & Zoroastrians. 

    Muslims who would sincerely abjure offensive jihad [Reliance, Hedaya] condemn themselves to immediate execution by the caliph and eternal damnation by Allah as apostates from Islam.  They can't, they don't & they never will and it is blessed well time for the world to acknowledge this fatal fact.

  6. "Obviously, Muslims would be someone you'd look at, absolutely," ... "The radical Muslims are the people committing these crimes, by and large, as well as younger males... Not exclusively but these are things you profile to find the most likely candidate."

    Exactly how is that list different from "defamation"??  Previous resolutions and one parallel resolution bitch bitterly about associating Islam with terrorism. That is what it is all about, especially "profiling".  The perpetrators of most recent mass casualty terror attacks were Muslims shouting takbir when they attacked.  Allah said that he would & did cast terror. Allah commanded Muslims to strike terror and prepare to strike terror. Moe bragged  about being made victorious by terror. Perish the thought of any association between Islam & terrorism.  

Terrorism is a battle tactic sanctified and ordained by Allah. Here is the proof from the Qur'an, hadith and Tafsir Ibn kathir. Muslims do not want us to know about this fatal fact and bitterly bitch about its exposure. Examine this paragraph from a UN resolution which passed the General Assembly without a vote December 19, 2012

Also emphasizes that no religion should be equated with terrorism, as this

  • 8:60. Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of God and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom God doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of God, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.
  • 33:26. And those of the people of the Scripture who backed them (the disbelievers) Allah brought them down from their forts and cast terror into their hearts, (so that) a group (of them) you killed, and a group (of them) you made captives.

  • 59:13. Of a truth ye are stronger (than they) because of the terror in their hearts, (sent) by God. This is because they are men devoid of understanding.
  • 8:57. So if you gain the mastery over them in war, punish them severely in order to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may learn a lesson.

    The Prophet said, "I have been given five things which were not given to any one else before me. 
    1. Allah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey. .

     Narrated Abu Huraira:

        Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror(cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).

    Brig. S.K. Malik wrote The Qur'anic Concept of War as a training manual for the army of Pakistan.  His analysis will help you to comprehend their strategy. Terror is both a means and an end.  This paragraph comes from the bottom of page 59. [Emphasis added.]

Terror struck into the hearts of the enemies is not only
a means, it is the end in itself. Once a condition of terror into
the opponent's heart is obtained, hardly anything is left to be
achieved. It is the point where the means and the end meet
and merge. Terror is not a means of imposing decision upon
the enemy; it is me decision we wish to impose upon him.


    There is a purpose for the numerous continuing assaults against Christian faith in this nation.  You will not fully comprehend it without reading this next quote.

There is one necessary prerequisite for instilling terror: the destruction of our faith. Islam's strong faith shields Muslims from being terrorized. This paragraph comes from page 60. [Emphasis added.]

Terror cannot be struck into the hearts of an army by merely
 cutting its lines of communication or depriving it of its routes
of withdrawal. It is basically related to the strength or weakness
of the human soul. It can be instilled only if the opponent's
Faith is destroyed. Psychological dislocation is temporary;
spiritual dislocation is permanent. Psychological dislocation can be
produced by a physical act but this does not hold good of the
spiritual dislocation. To instill terror into the hearts of the enemy, 
it is essential. in the ultimate analysis, to dislocate his Faith. An
invincible Faith is immune to terror. A weak Faith offers inroads
to terror. The Faith conferred upon us by the Holy Qur'an has
the inherent strength to ward off terror from us and to enable
us to strike terror into the enemy. Whatever the form or type of
strategy directed against the enemy, it must, in order to be effective,
be capable of striking terror into the hearts of the enemy. A strategy
that fails to attain this condition suffers from inherent drawbacks
and weaknesses; and should be reviewed and modified. This rule
is fully applicable to nuclear as well as conventional wars. It is
equally true of the strategy of nuclear deterrence in fashion
today. To be credible and effective, the strategy of deterrence
must be capable of striking terror into the hearts of the enemy.
