The Resistance Starts NOW

Barack Obama has spoken, and Amerikans have listened and voted for him.

But for the rest of us, the Americans, the Resistance starts NOW.

We will not surrender our freedoms, we will not give up our liberties, we will not cave into European-style socialism, we will resist a national and internation welfare state, we will fight the removal of our free speech, we will fight the fascist state-bullyism that is sure to come next, we will never give in to Islamic subversion of our laws instead of their assimilation into our culture, we will not base our decisions and votes on what color a man is, we will not wear the slanderous term 'racist' because we chose to not vote for a radical socialist who started his career in the Socialist Party, we will not bear mandated abortion or homosexual 'marriages, the limitations of our firearms, and will resist every single inch of such encroachments on our freedoms by the Demokrats, and we will give our lives for the true freedom of this country, not the socialistic charade that has usurped power by manipulation, media propaganda and lies.

Stay tuned for orders.

Too late.

You surrendered your freedoms and liberties to 'shrub and Co.' after September 2001.

When you condoned the use of torture, or the unlimited detention of unarmed USA citizens (Jose Padilla) without charge or open and honest trial you lost justice.

When you have called _real Americans_ "anti-American, terrorist-loving appeasers, non-patriots and socialist freaks" because the real Americans did not bow their heads to your beloved president, you surrendered your liberty.

When you allowed secret warrantless government spying on the people of USA you gave up your freedom.

You are late to the party.

This whole past eight years has been a struggle to maintain freedom, liberty, and justice within USA for all people of USA because the power was going to be passed in January 2009.

Now that the election is over and the people of USA rejected the RW way of ruling through bullyism, sit and be quiet.

Let liberals and progressives show you how to govern using open and honest government.

I notice you're a Packers fan. I am too. I'm also a liberal, generally speaking.

Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate for president, recently testified in front of one of the House committees investigating whether there really is good cause and evidence for impeaching Bush. Barr held up a copy of the Bill of Rights with much of it blacked out, saying that the destruction of the Bill of Rights under this administration is unprecedented, and that this destruction is more than sufficient cause for impeachment. Bruce Fein, author of one of the articles of impeachment against Clinton, testified that Bush has committed more abuses of power than George III had when our ancestors decided to revolt. So how you can claim that a man who was a Constitutional scholar at one of the most conservative of the major universities is somehow going to destroy your rights is unfathomable. If you had been paying attention for the past 8 years, you would have started your struggle long, long ago, because now you are going to get a lot of your rights back.

Also, you may be curious to know that Bush has created the largest government in history while cutting numerous programs that benefit all. He even cut programs and monies for active military personnel and veterans, including those for K-12 education on military bases, insurance benefits for veterans with PTSD, and levels of combat pay.

And what about giving welfare to corporations? A major reason why the middle class is eroding and our country is falling apart is the huge number of major corporations that pay no income tax whatsoever. Also, the very nature of a corporation is to create as many "externalities" as possible, that is, to force its own costs onto society whenever and wherever it gets the chance. But taxes are necessary for society, and there can be no "supply side" if there is no "demand side"; the only way to do that is to create demand, which means paying labor what it's worth and lessening the tax burden on working people instead of corporations. (You can read more about how we average joes are getting screwed by our tax "system" by reading the work of David Kay Johnston. Although both Dems and Reps do it, the Reps are definitely the worse offenders.) And have you forgotten the big fat paychecks that executives and boards give themselves and their buddies while cutting regular jobs left and right and even running their companies into the ground? Who has condoned or even supported this obscene behavior? The Republicans, always.

Who has tried to institute permanent massive tax cuts to the ultra-rich? Bush and company. Who wire-tapped even the phones of active military personnel, listening in on sexy calls to spouses? Bush and company. Who has, as some commentators have pointed out (Bruce Fein among them), destroyed the Magna Carta? Bush and company. Who is monitoring everything you do electronically? Bush and company. Who has condoned the use of smart tags on products so that everything you look at in a store, including a picture of you for demographic and who knows what other purposes, is recorded? Bush and company. Who destroyed the Posse Comitatus Act in the John Warner Defense Reauthorization Act of 2007, which was passed in October of 2006? Bush and company. But who put the Posse Comitatus Act back into effect? The Democratic Congress, just this year. But who is flouting Congress, as he has so often before, by calling back from the Middle East an active army division to be placed in the U.S. under the purview of NORTHCOMM? Bush, who has had no problem whatsoever in committing high crimes whenever he wants to, partly because the statements and behaviors of people like you have made it more and more impossible for critics to stand up to tyrants and stand up for basic American liberties. After all, worshiping a person or party as if devoting oneself to a perfect god is madness. It is the sort of madness that Koestler warned about in *Darkness at Noon*, that Shirer wrote about in *The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich*....
